PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair type massager made comfortable to sit in as a chair, capable of adjusting the massaging intensity of each part of a human body at the time of massage treatment and having function for performing proper massage treatment corresponding to the demands of various users. SOLUTION: The respective surface parts of a seat part 1, a leg placing stand 2, a back part 3 and a head part 4 are constituted by parallelly arranging human body support elements 5 comprising a short strip-like fabric and the individual human body support elements 5 are equipped with support state adjusting means 7 altering the support states determined by the tensions of the elements 5 and the tension or the like of the sheet fabric of each support element 5 is detected by a support state detection means 8 to control each support state adjusting means 7 by a support state setting means 9 and a support state control means 10. The support state can be altered corresponding to the taste and purpose of a user.
