The invention relates to a sun shield designed to be mounted in front of a window or door opening in, or on an outer wall, a building or the like, comprising a plurality of lamellas (4) which are and supported by ladder bands (5), and are tiltable. The lamellas (4) are, in their downward direction, defined by a bottom board (9) to which are pivotably connected at least two, at a predetermined mutual distance located arms (10, 11) at each side of the lamellas (4), the opposite free ends of arms (10, 11) being pivotably connected to the edge portion of the opening in question in an area substantially corresponding to half of the height of the opening. The arms (10, 11) have a length position orientation of the lamellas vertically downwards, or vertically upwards and in an intermediate position in which the bottom board (9) will be located at a distance in front of the opening, the lamellas (4) then being either horizontally oriented or tilted to a closed position, so that the sun shield will alternatively function as one of three different types, namely an outer wall Venetian blind, an awning, or a non-adjustable sun shield. |
