PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal recording material and a multi-color thermal recording material with outstanding image part conservation stability by selectively using a specific electron-receptive compound, in a thermal recording material comprising an indolyl azaphthalide compound with blue to cyan hues as an electron-donative colorless dye. SOLUTION: The thermal recording material and the multi-color thermal recording material are characterized in that at least one thermal recording layer is formed on a support and this thermal recording layer contains the indolyl azaphthalide compound represented by the described general formula (I) and a chemical compound represented by the described general formula (II). |
