PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer not liable to be damaged at a distal end of a sheet in a sheet conveying clamping operation for holding the end of the sheet by a holding member of an impression cylinder. SOLUTION: Like the case of a double-side printing or the like, even when same sheet is passed twice, stoppers 2a of a sheet clamper 2 are disposed asymmetrically to a center O of a sheet conveying direction when the sheet is collision-contacted with the stoppers 2a of the clamper 2 and clamped. Accordingly, same part of a distal end of the sheet collision-contacted with the stopper 2a by first time passing is not again collision contacted with the stopper 2a so that an end damage of the sheet due to the collision contact does not become apparent.
