PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical antistaining method capable of effectively preventing the adhesion of organisms over a long period of time, and an apparatus using the same. SOLUTION: The electrochemical antistaining method includes the process for applying positive potential to a conductive base material, the process for applying negative potential and the process for changing potential in a slope-like state between the process for applying positive potential and the process for applying negative potential, and the apparatus using this method is also disclosed.
