PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a skin care preparation for external use, containing ingredients which can give high pharmacological effects to make the skin to beautiful white and beautiful texture without denaturation of the ingredients in the preparation, and having higher effect to inhibit the formation of melanin as compared with those of conventional preparations for whitening, and further having higher antioxidation effect than those of conventional ones and containing antioxidation and antiaging components which can give higher phar macological effects without being denatured in the preparation. SOLUTION: This skin care preparation for external use contains an extract obtained from grass of edelweiss or an extract obtained from a plant belonging to the genus Leontopodium, the family of Asteacea (Compsitae). Or the preparation contains, besides the extract obtained from the edelweiss or the extract obtained from the plant belonging to the genus Leontopodium, the family of Asteacea (Compsitae), pharmacodynamic agents selected from the group consisting of a skin whitening agent, an antioxidant, an antiinflammatory agent, a cell-activating agent and an ultraviolet light absorbing agent. |
