PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial lightweight aggregate by which a cement hardened body maintains an excellent mechanical strength for a long time, its manufacturing method and a cement hardened body using the aggregate. SOLUTION: The artificial lightweight aggregate is needle-like plastics material containing a glass fiber whose surface is partially or completely covered with a carbonated cement hardened body.
