PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide indexes for folding printed matter which usually has pages constituted by folding a square sheet zigzag repeatedly and has no index provided. SOLUTION: Perforations for cutting off one sheet in shapes symmetrical in terms of points vertically are provided therein and the sheet is folded at intervals conforming to the width of pages. Arbitrary printing being made in the pages, the shapes symmetrical in terms of pints vertically are cut off and the whole shapes thus obtained are folded in zigzag in conformity with scaring. Index parts are constituted above or below arbitrary pages, in this state, so that they protrude from the preceding page, and indexes are printed in these index parts from the front.
