PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original plate for lithographic printing of an aboard-the- machine development type with the capability of mounting the original plate directly on a printing machine without treatment after exposure and an improved stability over time. SOLUTION: This original plate for lithographic printing has a heat-sensitive layer containing a microcapsule with a hydrophobic compound formed on a support. The phase transition temperature of the hydrophobic compound is 45 deg.C or higher.
