PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a back and forth directional position of a seat of a rotary chair with the simple structure. SOLUTION: A seat plate fitting 7 on a support 2 of a chair is provided with rails 14 positioned in both of a right and a left sides and directed in the back and forth direction. A right and a left lower parts of a seat plate 18 are fitted to a right and a left rails 14 freely to be slid, and a recessed groove 15 to be engaged with a projection 21a at plural positions in the back and forth direction is provided in the seat plate fitting 7. Engaging condition of the projection 21a and the recessed groove 15 is released by lifting an end of the seat plate 18, and the seat plate 18 an be slid in the back and forth direction in relation to the seat plate fitting 7.
