SOLUTION: This method for calculating the flow rate of the air in the air jet loom in which a main nozzle 1 and sub-nozzles 2a, 3a are disposed on a sley swung in the longitudinal direction of the loom, is characterized by calculating the flow rate QA (per unit time) of the air from the nozzles according to a calculating formula: QA=113×S×(Pi+0.1013)×n×η×A/360, [wherein, S: the effective cross section areas of the nozzles; Pi: the pressure of each tank; (n) is the number of the nozzles; (η) is the efficiency of the nozzles; A: the opening of a valve].
