PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new complexed sugar modified polystyrene expectable to have excellent discriminating capability of asymmetry, and to provide a method of producing it. SOLUTION: This complexed sugar modified polystyrene comprises a repeating unit expressed by formula (1) (G is a residue of polysaccharide derivative in which more than five monosaccharides are bound, and at least 80% of hydroxyl group of G is substituted, lacking a hydroxyl group at the reductive terminal). The separating agent comprises the complexed sugar modified polystyrene.
