PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder at a relatively low cost of manufacturing and assembling. SOLUTION: This holder has four holding jaws for cargo provided with a holding hole and movable in the radial direction. The holding jaws are guided freely to be moved inside of four cylinders extended outward in the radial direction in a frame, and a core arranged in parallel with a vertical beam at the center between the vertical beams of the frame is tapered downward into a conical shape over at least a part of the length inside of the frame, and the core can be slid in the longitudinal direction by a piston cylinder unit. The holding jaws are pressurized in the radial direction by each return spring and abut on the core, and the abutment surface of each holding jaw is complementarily formed in relation to a side surface of the core at least within an abutment area. Each holding jaw 13 is formed of a plate-like center element 18 and at least two parallel plate-like side part elements 19 arranged in both sides of the center element 18. The side part element has each one recessed part 21 directed toward the outer surface of the holding jaw 13, and a cross section of the recessed part is desirably formed into an isosceles triangle in a direction for visually watching the side surface of each side part element 19.
