PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dehydrating sludge, forming coarse floc when used in sewage treatment, especially wastewater treatment and reducing the water content of a dehydrated cake. SOLUTION: A cationic polymeric flocculant comprizing branched polyvinylimidazoline and other cationic polymeric flocculant are together used to be added to and mixed with sludge to dehydrate sludge.
