PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer in which the empty capacity at a storage section can be used efficiently by deleting the data of low use frequency characters registered in the nonvolatile storage section in the printer. SOLUTION: Counter of each low use frequency character is checked and stored characters of low use frequency are deleted. At the time of deleting characters of low use frequency, information of an object to be deleted is displayed so that a user judges the display to prevent erroneous deletion. |
