PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer recording medium which is improved in the durability such as resistance to heat and rubbing of a printed image and high draining properties of a heat transferable ink layer during transfer and produces a sharp and high print quality level transfer image, even when a thermophastic resin is used as a main component of the binder of a heat transferable ink. SOLUTION: In the heat transferable recording medium formed of a mold release layer and a heat transferable ink layer laminated, in that order, on a base material, the main components of the binder contained in the heat transferable ink layer are a terpene phenol resin and a polyamide resin which has a softening temperature of 110-160 deg.C and an amine value of 5 or less. |
