PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a coated paper for printing having good ink-set properties while maintaining offset printability in a high speed rotary press ink-jet system and prepare a coated paper for printing excellent in water resistance of the printed image on the paper. SOLUTION: This coated paper for printing having a coated layer obtained by coating a coating composition comprising a pigment and a latex binder on a base paper, has >=9.0 ml/m2 of ink migration amount at absorption time of 0.7 second measured by Bristow's method (J.TAPPI No 51-87 Method of testing for liquid absorption of paper and paper board), includes >=30 wt.% of precipitated calcium carbonate in a pigment forming the coated layer and the latex binder in the coated layer preferably comprises an SBR latex including >=20 wt.% of acrylonitrile. This invention includes a coated paper for printing including a cationic resin in the coated layer. |
