PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for application of a lining, which is excellent in workability and can lighten the operation of adding a metallic drier to a lining composition. SOLUTION: The method for application of a lining comprises forming a protective layer on the surface of a base material by using a lining composition obtained by mixing (A) 100 pts.wt. of a previously mixed mixture of (a) a metallic drier and (b) a filler containing inert fine particles and/or a particulate inorganic aggregate material with (B) 5-500 pts.wt. resin composition consisting of (c) 5-60 wt.% thermosetting prepolymer and/or thermoplastic resin and (d) 95-40 wt.% ethylenically unsaturated monomer.
