PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize and lighten a mechanism to drive a steering mechanism at the time when a steering control part to drive the steering mechanism of a steer-by-wire type steering device fails. SOLUTION: This steering device for a vehicle is furnished with the steering mechanism having an actuator 11 to and from which hydraulic oil is supplied and discharged and to change a direction of a wheel, a first valve 6 to control supply and discharge of hydraulic oil to and from the actuator 11, a driving means 7 to drive the first valve 6 in accordance with steering of a steering means, a second valve 8 to drive by steering of the steering means and an oil supplying means 9 to supply hydraulic oil to the actuator 11 from the second valve 8 at the time when abnormality occurs to driving of the first valve 6 by the driving means 7. |
