PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To run a carriage without generating vibrations in a state in which the carriage maintains a predetermined accuracy to a guide shaft. SOLUTION: An ink jet recorder has a transfer roller (not shown) for transferring recording papers, and the carriage (not shown) for running a recording head which records by discharging ink liquid drops to recording papers forward and backward in a direction intersecting a transfer direction of the recording papers along the guide shaft 81 having a nearly circular transverse plane. A bearing part of the carriage is constituted to be in contact with the guide shaft 81 at two points A and B of the upstream side and the downstream side in the transfer direction to a vertical direction line passing the center of the guide shaft 81. Anglesθa andθb defined between a tangential direction and the vertical direction on an outer circumferential face of the guide shaft 81 at contact points A and B are set respectively to make a frictional force generated between the guide shaft 81 and the bearing part larger than a force of sliding the bearing part along a circumferential direction of the guide shaft 81 generated when the carriage accelerates/decelerates.
|
