PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing colored fine aggregate having high added value and wide range of applications, utilizing mud sludge containing silica, and capable of keeping color even when cracking or chipping takes place. SOLUTION: This method of producing colored fine aggregate comprises a mixing step obtaining muddy raw material by mixing mud sludge containing silica with a calcium compound and a pigment for coloring, a granulating step obtaining granulated product by granulating the muddy raw material, and a hydrothermal solidification step obtaining a solidified product by solidifying the granulated product through hydrothermal treatment.
