PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which in relation to a printer by which both sheets such as label tapes and plates such as cards can be printed, when an operator forgets to change the kind of the set printing medium and mounts another printing medium on a printer, quality of printing becomes worse as the printing is not performed under an appropriate condition. SOLUTION: Amount of movement of a cleaning roller C in a printing medium carrying path is detected as thickness of a plate and in a case when this detected result is at least a specified thickness and input of a printing medium by a printing medium inputting means is sheets, the detected thickness data takes precedence over the input of the printing medium and printing is performed under the condition. |
