PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deep water-intake plant that will not decrease a water intake amount but can cut an initial investment amount by adopting a water intake pipe with a smaller diameter, resulting in a decreased equipment investment cost. SOLUTION: In the midst of a water-intake pipe leading to a water intake of a deep water lifting pump, an ejector pump is installed to return part of the deep water spouted from the lifting pump to spray it from a nozzle of the ejector pump. Thereby, the pressure at the water intake of the lifting pump is raised to make it possible to accelerate a flow speed in the water intake pipe.
