PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply, rapidly and accurately form an opening in a molding at inexpensive facility cost. SOLUTION: A method for forming the opening of the molding with a skin material comprises the steps of setting the skin material 13 having a part 13b to be force-cut surrounded by a thin part 13a to a first mold 11, and a base 17 having an opening 17a to a second mold 15; molding an instrument panel 1 molded integrally with the material 13, the base 17 and a foam layer 19; then pushing a force-cutter 21 from the first mold 11 side against the part 13b; force-cutting the part 13a in a state in which the panel 1 is disposed in the mold; and thereby forming a side vent air outlet 5 at the panel 1. |
