PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive ink tank having a high ink volume efficiency for the entire volume in which ink can be supplied with a stabilized ink pressure to an ink jet head. SOLUTION: The ink tank 1 comprises a bag member 3 disposed in a rigid container 2 while being shaped cubically to copy the inner circumferential shape of the container. The bag member 3 is fixed with a rigid movable plate 5 linked to the rigid container side through a spring member 6. The bag member 3 is folded up when the container is filled with ink and the bag member 3 bands gradually toward the cubic shape as ink is consumed. Since the ink volume efficiency in the inner volume of the rigid container is high and the bag member is reset smoothly to the cubic shape as ink is consumed, ink can be supplied with an appropriate ink pressure at all times. Furthermore, the bag member of cubic molding can be produced inexpensively as compared with a bellows type bag. |
