PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throwaway tip capable of preventing the contact of a connection line of a crossing ridge part of a tip side face and one main face side or the other main face side with a holder and its disconnection during mounting and dismounting of the tip on the holder and cutting work. SOLUTION: A sensor line 12 having a predetermined width and made of a conductive film is provided for a base material 1 in an electrically insulated condition in the vicinity of a cutting blade 9 of a flank 8, two contact regions 13, 14 electrically connectable with a predetermined circuit and forming a pair are provided for the base material 1 in an electrically insulated condition on one main face side and/or the other main face side of the base material 1, and connection lines 15, 16 connecting two contact regions 13, 14 with one end and the other end of the sensor line 12, respectively, are provided for the base material from a side face of the base material 1 over one main face and/or the other main face of the base material in an electrically insulated condition.
