PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the smoothness of a coated surface without using machining or chemical treatment. SOLUTION: The coating method has a process for bonding a fine granular coating material 2 to the surface of a matrix 1 by predetermined physical force to deposit the same on the matrix, a process for allowing air to flow along the surface of the coating material 2 in such a state that physical force is allowed to act and a process for fixing the coating material 2 bonded to and deposited on the surface of the matrix 1 to the matrix 1 to form a coating layer 8.
