PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock mechanism for a bedside table capable of locking the bedside table to prevent the movement thereof in use and easy to be operated. SOLUTION: This lock mechanism has a grounding member 16 installed in both of caster frames 11b and 11b freely to be moved in the vertical direction and an operating means 17 for vertically moving this grounding means 16. A cam member 24 is turned by an operation pedal 25 through a coupling shaft 22, and a tip of the cam member 24 is fitted in a first trough part v1 inside of a groove part 23, and the grounding member 16 is pushed down toward a floor surface, resisting the energizing force of a coil spring 20 as an energizing means interposed in a stepped bolt 19, and the tip of the cam member 24 is moved from the first trough part v1 to a second trough part v2 to fix the bedside table.
