<p>A vacuum cleaner has an electric motor driving an air impeller (68) for creating low pressure and a pump (120) which draws liquid material through an inlet tube from the bottom of a tank (32) and expels it from the tank. A priming apparatus (350) is disposed between the air impeller (68) and the interior of the pump (120) to place the interior of the pump (120) in air flow communication with a low pressure area generated by the air impeller (68). With the interior of the pump (120) in air flow communication with the low pressure area generated by the air impeller (68), the pump (120) is able to draw liquid material received by the tank (32) up through the pump inlet to prime the pump (120).</p> |
