Ventilation method for removing air laden with substances, uses vessel and suction system for removing air from vessels, taking in outside air and discharging air

A method for removing air laden with substances from a number of spaces (1), each of which is connected via an exit pipe (2) to the end of a suction pipe (4), comprises regulating air flow so that it is less than 1 m/sec at the end of the suction pipe. Air is taken from several optionally sealable suction pipes and collected inside a vessel (8) connected to a suction system (3) so that a regulated flow of air into the vessel is obtained. The same suction system can be used to allow outside air to enter the vessel, and to remove an essentially constant amount of air from the vessel at an essentially constant velocity, irrespective of how many suction pipes are connected to the vessel. An Independent claim is also included a ventilation system for carrying out this method.
