PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip installation structure capable of improving assembling workability of a welt to be held on a flange through a double coated adhesive tape. SOLUTION: In this installation structure of a weather strip 1 to hold the welt 2 having a U-shaped cross section to the car body flange 7, a diagonal plate 8 is formed on a base part of at least one of mating plates 7a and 7b of the car body flange 7, and an inclined wall 3 is jointed with the diagonal plate 8 on the plate 7a to get inclined outward along the diagonal plate 8 by applying the double coated adhesive tape 9 on an inner surface at an end of at least one wall part 2a of both wall parts 2a and 2b of the welt 2.
