PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door lock device for a machine tool capable of opening a door from the interior of a splash cover even when a power source is brought into an OFF-state with a door closed. SOLUTION: A lock pin 30 engaged with a door 5 during closing of the door 5 and capable of fixing the door 5 and a spring 32 to energize the pin 30 in a door locking direction are situated at the outside of a splash cover 1. A solenoid actuator 36 is provided to move the pin 30 in a door unlocking direction against the elastic force of the spring 32 during operation thereof. An operation rod 42 to move the pin 32 in a door unlocking direction during non-operation of an actuator 36 is situated in a manner to extend through a cover 1 and move in its axial direction. A plunger 37 of the actuator 36 and the pin 30 are intercoupled through a rod 29 and a joint 38. Movement in an axial direction of a joint operation rod 42 is converted to movement in a door unlocking direction of the pin 30.
