PURPOSE: To improve the followup ability between the operation of a playing operator and musical sound being generated by deciding the attribute of the musical sounds generated by a musical sound generating means in accordance with the information which represents the strength of the operation inputted by an inputting means. CONSTITUTION: A ROM14 stores program, trigger information table, musical sound information table and a layer.table. The trigger information table stores the instrument.number of the instrument of the layer sound which is generated when a trigger signal is inputted and the note.number of an MIDI signal. The musical sound information table stores the attribute (group, polyphony and instrument) of each musical sound for every instrument.number. The layer.table is referred to vary the sound volume level by trigger.level while the musical sounds of instruments 1 and 2 are generated as layer sounds. Since the attribute of the musical sounds is automatically varied in accordance with the strength of a playing, natural musical sounds having a good followup ability to the playing operation are generated even when the sounds are continuously and repeatedly generated. |
