PURPOSE: A cathode ray tube is provided to increase the amount of electrons collided with a metal layer by applying a higher voltage to a metal layer than the voltage applied to a shadow mask. CONSTITUTION: A cathode ray tube(100) includes a panel(110) and a funnel(120). A phosphor layer(111) and a metal layer(112) are stacked on an inner face of the panel(110). A frame(140) is fixed to the panel(110) by inserting a plate spring(141) into a stud pin(131). A shadow mask(130) is fixed to a front part of the frame(140). An inner shield(150) is fixed to a rear side of the frame(140) by using a connection spring(170). The metal layer(112) and the stud pin(113) are insulated to each other. The shadow mask(130) and the metal layer(112) are insulated to each other. The metal layer(112) and the shadow mask(130) are electrically connected to a conductive layer(121) by a first and a second conductive portions. The first conductive portion is formed with a conductive pin(115), a graphite layer(116), and a first conductor(117). The second conductive portion is formed with a second conductor(160). The second conductor(160) is formed with a first, a second, and a third conductive members(161,162,163).
