PURPOSE: A method for transmitting, receiving and managing a mobile terminal telephone directory using wireless data communication is provided to enable a mobile terminal user to easily back up and restore his personal telephone directory. CONSTITUTION: If a user registers a telephone number in a mobile terminal(100), the mobile terminal generates a backup request and transmits the registered telephone directory to the server of a mobile telecommunication company's management center(120) through a base station(110) in the form of a packet. This data are stored in an information provider(130)'s telephone directory database(140). In case that the user generates a telephone directory transmission request, the telephone directory database(140) transmits the requested telephone directory data packet to the management center(120). The management center(120) transmits the telephone directory data packet to the base station(110). Finally the telephone directory data packet is transmitted to the user's mobile terminal. |
