PURPOSE: A cyclone dirt collecting apparatus of a vacuum cleaner is provided to collect primary a waste of a relatively large particle absorbed through a suction port by installing the cyclone dirt collecting apparatus at an extension pipe. CONSTITUTION: A cyclone dirt collecting apparatus comprises a cyclone body(20), a cyclone cover(30), a waste collecting barrel(40) and a supporting member(50) for supporting the waste collecting barrel(40). The cyclone body(20) is connected at an extension pipe(3) and composed of a suction air introducing passage, a grille(22) for filtering a suction air reflected at the cyclone cover(30) and a suction air draining passage for guiding air absorbed through the grille(22) to a vacuum cleaner body. The cyclone cover(30) is composed of a cover body(31) of a cylindrical shape for forming a spiral air current by the suction air introducing passage and a first waste guiding passage(35) for guiding the suction air containing a waste to the waste collecting barrel(40). One end of the cover body(31) is opened and the other end thereof is closed. A plurality of coupling protrusions for coupling at the cyclone body(20) is provided at the opened end of the cover body(31). A through hole is formed at a circumference surface of the cover body(31).
