PURPOSE: Installation structure of a switch for lighting taillights in a manual transmission is provided to cut down manufacturing cost, and to install parts conveniently by mounting the switch of the taillight in a detent pin assembly. CONSTITUTION: Change rods(1,2,3) are connected to a shift lever of a manual transmission through a linkage, and grooves(1a,2a,3a) are formed in the center portions of change rods. A contact point(4a) of a taillight switch(4) is turned on and off by pressing, and installed in the grooves. The contact point of the taillight switch is contacted to the groove of the 1/2-speed change rod and the groove of the 3/4-speed change rod in shifting. The taillight is turned on with placing the contact point of the taillight switch in a recess of the groove.
