A plunger for syringe of a liquid dispenser, comprising a convergent tip portion (12) having a rear end part slightly smaller in outer diameter than the inner diameter of a syringe, a tubular drum part (14) positioned continuously behind a rear end part (16) of the convergent tip portion, having the rear end part with a maximum outer diameter approximately the same as the inner diameter of the syringe, and opening at the rear end part, and a flange member (24) (30, 32) connected to the outer peripheral surface of the drum part (14) near an opening (22) and formed slidably on an inside wall surface (26) of the syringe (18) in close contact with the inside wall surface (26), whereby an inclination relative to the syringe can be eliminated so as to be operated smoothly at all times inside the syringe.
