PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence frequency of data errors. SOLUTION: This magnetic tape device is provided with a magnetic tape, a plurality of magnetic heads, pulsing circuits converting regeneration signals into digital signals for individual magnetic heads, phase comparators outputting phase data which are phase differences between the digital signals and discriminating clocks, charge pumps generating the control voltages corresponding to the phase data, voltage control oscillators generating the discriminating clocks based on the control voltages, and a signal processing circuit processing the digital signals. Each charge pump is provided with a gain switching unit switching the gain of the charge pump by an instruction from the signal processing circuit, a charge pump side analog divider dividing the output value of one switched output circuit by a prescribed value and provided on this output circuit, and a charge pump side adder adding a prescribed value to the divided output value. |
