<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cluster magnetic tape device capable of sharply reducing man-hours without requiring the resetting of device management information and the measurement of dislocation error information when nonvolatile memories are replaced. SOLUTION: The device management information of the nonvolatile memories 51 and 61 is stored on a floppy (R) disk(FD) medium. When the nonvolatile memories 51 and 61 are replaced, the device management information is deployed to replaced new nonvolatile memories 51 and 61 from the FD medium by taking-over the device management information.</p> |
