PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiplex broadcast receiver, with which a text information database added management information can be constructed, and necessary text information can be read efficiently by the retrieval applied the above database. SOLUTION: This multiplex broadcast receive which receives broadcasting radio, including text information layered on voice information, provides a means of fetching information, a means of fetching text information, a memory means of memorizing relating to the information fetched by the means for fetching the time information and the means of fetching text information, and a retrieval means for reading out the desired information from the memory means; the retrieval means provides a retrieval condition input means for inputting retrieval conditions, a detection means which detects the text information, corresponding to the input condition from the memory means, a list indicating means by which the text information detected by the detecting means as a list, based on the time information, a selecting means of selecting the desired text information in the list indicated by the list indication means, and a indication means by which the content of the text information selected through the selecting means is indicated in detail.
