PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load on a host computer under simultaneous processes of a plurality of transactions in a transaction processing system. SOLUTION: A storage subsystem 3 has disk units 31a, 31b to store data with a duplexing. A server 1 accesses to the unit 31a when read-accessing, and accesses to the unit 31b when write-accessing. If there is a not-completed read-processing when write-accessing, the server 1 instructs to discontinue the duplexing of the units 31a, 31b and issues a write require, then stores write data only into the unit 31a. The server 1 makes the subsystem 3 restart the duplexing of the units 31a, 31b when completing read-processing and write- processing respectively to reflect the data written into the unit 31a to the unit 31b.
