PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cooling structure of an electric motor, in which a coolant passage for cooling the electric motor can be easily and inexpensively obtained and installation flexibility of the electric motor can be enhanced. SOLUTION: The cooling structure 1 of the electric motor 2 which cools the electric motor by means of the coolant comprises a jacket 3, interior of which is provided with the coolant passage through which the coolant flows. The jacket 3 further comprises a plurality of axial passage part 3b having axial passage 3c which are disposed circumferentially around a periphery of a casing with a space to each other and are extending in longitudinal direction of the shaft of the electric motor 2 and are opening at least on one of both ends thereof, a connector 6 which constitutes the coolant passage 8 together with the axial passage 3C, 3C by installing a communicating path 6c between the axial passages 3c, 3c, thereby a plurality of axial passage parts 3b, 3b are combined, and a passage cover 5 which covers the openings of the axial passage 3c of the axial passage part 3b.
