The invention relates to an externally applicable preparation containing an oxygen carrier, wherein haemoglobin and, optionally, myoglobin are incorporated into a preparation having the consistency of a gel in a molecularly dispersed manner. The preparation is suitable for being rubbed into the skin, in order to reinforce the external diffusive supply of the skin with oxygen for the regeneration thereof and to eliminate oxygen deficiencies. The agent is also suitable for the prevention of such states and particularly suitable for preventing degenerative changes in the skin caused by radiation, heat, and ageing, or for treating burns of the skin, optionally, in co-therapy with intravascular oxygen therapy. The invention further relates to a method for the production of such a preparation and the use thereof. |
