<p>In a compression coaxial cable assembly (30,38,46), a housing has a contacting face and a coaxial cable has an end inserted into the housing, a signal conductor, and an outer shield. First and second members (30,46) are mounted to and electrically coupled to the signal conductor and the outer shield, respectively, and each of the first and second members has a deflectable portion (34,48) projecting from the housing at the contacting face. Upon coupling the housing to a substrate, the deflectable portions each electrically contact corresponding surfaces on the substrate. Upon urging the housing toward the substrate, the deflectable portions each deflect and withdrawn into the housing.</p> |
