PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording/reproducing device and a recording/reproducing method capable of converting analog signals into digital signals to be recorded and extracting data at an accurate time when reproducing the recorded data. SOLUTION: This recording/reproducing device is provided with a GPS(global positioning system) receiver 12 receiving the time data from a GPS satellite, an A/D(analog-digital) converter 11 generating sampling data by sampling inputted analog signals and converting them into digital signals in sequence, a recording means 13 periodically embedding the time data from the GPS receiver 12 into the sampling data sent from the A/D converter 11 in sequence and recording them on a storage medium 30, and a reproducing means 13 reading the sampling data recorded on the storage medium 30 by the recording means 13 according to the instruction from a reproduction instructing section 31 and sending them to a processing analyzer 14.
