PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a band used for transmitting information from spreading, even if the number of times of relaying (number of times of transfer, number of times of hoppings) or the number of communication units to be relayed is increased. SOLUTION: The communication unit comprises a section 13 for receiving information, including the number of times of transfer transmitted from other communication unit, a signal processing section 15 for reducing information received at the receiving section 13, depending on the number of times of transfer (number of times of hopping) included in the received information and containing the reduced information in a packet together with information being delivered from its own communication unit, and a section 14 for transmitting the information contained in the packet. The packet is sectioned into a plurality of areas for containing the information of each communication unit and comprises a header part for containing the transmission source ID, the source ID, and the number of times of transfer for each communication unit, and a data containing section. The size of the packet does not depend on the number of times of transfer but is fixed, and the data are reduced as the number of times of transfer is increased, for example, so that unnecessary data will not be transferred.
