PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gene array expression system capable of providing the result of high reliability even when only the database entry of comparatively not-high similarity exists in the case of estimating a genetic function by extracting the feature of a gene array from the result of array similarity retrieval concerning the information analysis of the gene array. SOLUTION: In the concerned gene array, a similarity index is calculated from the retrieved result of similarity with a gene array database, the similarity index is collected for each word appearing in the database entry, similarity index distribution for each word is calculated and the maximum value of the similarity index distribution is calculated so that the word profile of the similarity index can be calculated.
