摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for securely manufacturing a oxide superconductive wire material excellent in mechanical characteristics and superconductivity, wherein void defects derived from gas generated in heat treatment process is prevented when manufacturing an oxide superconductive wire material whose sectional shape is round, flat or the like. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method for an oxide superconductive wire material, a wire material in which a calcined powder to be used as a raw material for the oxide superconductive wire material is filled inside a sheath material, heated to a partially melting temperature of the calcined powder and then slowly cooled so as to crystallize the calcined powder. Prior to heating to the partially melting temperature, a temperature is raised at a velocity of 30 deg.C/h or less in a temperature range of 500 to 750 deg.C, or 10 deg.C/h or less in the range of over 750 to 820 deg.C in an oxygen-enriched atmosphere, whereby a degassing process inside the sheath material can be conducted.
