<p>The invention relates to a displacement apparatus which may function as a pump, as a compressor or as a motor. The apparatus comprises at least two rotors each having a disc and a plurality of pistons extending axially from the discs. The rotors are each mounted on parallel axes and the rotors are intended for mutual rotation so that the pistons successively form chambers for pumping, for intake, for compression, for combustion and for exhaust depending on the type of displacement apparatus. The pistons are provided with pointed ends which accurately ensure that the pistons do not collide, but which also ensure proper tight overlapping of the pistons without any need for sealing or other like means between the pistons.</p> |
